    Fristam has been designing and manufacturing positive displacement pumps for over 50 years. In 1995, Fristam introduced the FKL, the first close-clearance PD pump designed for 'True CIP.'

    Fristam now announces the release of the new FKL "A" for models 15–250, featuring a cleaner exterior, split-style gearbox for easy access to bearings and shafts, and customizable port-to-port dimensions for easy drop-in replacement of other PD pumps.

    Models 15, 20, 25, 50, 75, and 150 are available now, with the 205 and 250 to come this summer. Original FKL models will be available until the new models are released. After that, they will be "retired." The larger models (400, 580, and 600) will remain in the original style. Please contact PureServe Systems for more information.

    Fristam’s high performance FKL pumps use an advanced rotary piston design to handle demanding applications. Patented technology allows these pumps to operate in demanding applications, including continuous pressures up to 500 PSI, viscosity up to one million centipoise (CPS), shear sensitive products, and adverse suction conditions.

    Its balanced rotor means less deflection and wear, and also makes it possible to clean most products from the pump without disassembly or any loss of performance. Innovations in the shaft, bearings and seals increase the FKL’s robust dependability, simplify maintenance and improve pumping efficiency. Stainless steel rotors are available to handle a wider range of chemicals and pharmaceutical products.

    Fristam’s gentle FL II pumps are ideal for pharmaceutical and other applications where easy maintenance and the ability to clean-in-place are key considerations. The FL II is available in sizes from 3/4” to 4” to pump products with viscosities up to 100,000 centipoise (CPS) at pressures up to 170 PSI. The FL II uses a variety of innovations to overcome typical positive pump challenges. These innovations include: a low-slip bi-wing rotor that maintains efficiency even on low viscosity products or when trimmed for high temperature; simple timing to reduce maintenance and minimize the potential for rotor-to-rotor contact; an easy-to-assemble pinless seal and universal mounting.

    A pharmaceutical version is available to meet specific needs regarding sterility, gentle product handling and drainability.

    Fristam provides jacketed pump housings for most FL II models. The jacketed pump housing is designed for products that require temperature control such as sugars, cooking oils, chocolate, HFCS and brewer’s yeast.

    The UNIBLOC is engineered with little and easy maintenance in mind. No special tools are needed. Many parts are similar for several sizes of pumps. Automatic and accurate rotor timing have been engineered into the pump and parts fit only one way, the right way.
